About the position

The Associate Analyst Revenue Management role at JetBlue Airways focuses on maximizing ticket revenue across the airline's route network. The position is part of the Revenue Management team, which consists of Yield and Pricing teams that collaborate to optimize ticket sales based on customer demand. The role involves analyzing data, implementing revenue management theories, and ensuring competitive pricing in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and test implementations of revenue management theory to enhance system-wide revenue performance.
  • Design and execute controlled fare tests to study customer price elasticity of demand.
  • Query and analyze passenger ticketing data to gain market knowledge and inform future pricing decisions.
  • Effectively communicate revenue performance and competitive market dynamics to fellow crewmembers and management.
  • Provide cross-functional support to other teams including Sales, Network Planning, Loyalty, Travel Products, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related field; or a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four years of relevant work experience.
  • One year of experience in an analytical role or relevant coursework.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with quantitative critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical reasoning with the ability to tackle complex problems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, collaboratively, and under pressure.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related field.
  • One year of Revenue Management experience.
  • One year of analytical quantitative experience.
  • A proven interest in airlines, aviation, or transportation systems in schooling or prior work experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and other database tools.
