About the position

The Associate Application Engineer position is a full-time, entry-level role based at the corporate headquarters in Massillon, OH. This position is primarily focused on providing technical support in various aspects of project design and execution. The ideal candidate will be involved in a range of activities including equipment specification, project flow patterns, and the creation of CAD drawings. In this role, you will serve as a crucial link between sales support and operational planning/design, responding to client requests and ensuring that project specifications are met. You will gain extensive knowledge of equipment and will be responsible for creating project manuals, technical writing, and ensuring compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical compatibility. The position also requires strong communication skills, as you will collaborate with team members and communicate with clients, including participating in on-site meetings. Additionally, you will be expected to develop a foundational understanding of pump systems, including pump curve design and accessories, as well as filtration systems focusing on sediment separation and media contaminant adsorption. Leadership skills will be fostered as you will lead team meetings for specific projects, guiding discussions and ensuring that project goals are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a link to sales support through client requests and operational planning/design.
  • Engage in project design including equipment specification and project flow patterns.
  • Create CAD drawings as part of project documentation.
  • Develop project manuals and technical writing materials.
  • Ensure compliance with SDS and chemical compatibility requirements.
  • Learn through training others and sharing knowledge with peers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Participate in on-site meetings with peers and clientele.
  • Understand and apply basic pump knowledge including pump curve design and accessories.
  • Mitigate risks associated with project execution.
  • Gain knowledge in filtration systems, focusing on sediment separation and media contaminant adsorption.
  • Lead team meetings for specific projects.

Requirements

  • Four year Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field is required.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • No previous experience necessary, but prior experience may adjust compensation.
  • CAD experience preferred.
