About the position

The Associate Application Engineer at Appian is responsible for developing large-scale applications that support internal employees globally. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to define, design, and implement business process-based solutions. The position requires leveraging experience in various process improvement disciplines and a strong foundation in technology to analyze business strategies and develop technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale applications to support internal Appian employees.
• Work directly with internal stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Define, design, and implement business process-based solutions.
• Analyze clients' business strategies and processes to develop technical solutions.
• Design prototypes and model business processes based on requirements.
• Implement quality assurance plans, load testing, and rollout plans.
• Triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Math, or equivalent background.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar), including designing data models and entity relationship diagrams from business use cases.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for technology.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in business process management, knowledge management, personalization, business intelligence, and application integration on the Appian platform.
