The Enterprise Architecture and Automation division in the Information Technology Department (ITD) at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking an Associate App Developer to join the Artificial Intelligence Task Force. This role is pivotal in delivering Fund-wide services that leverage Generative AI and machine learning to tackle complex challenges associated with the Fund's core business functions, including surveillance, lending, and capacity development. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and deploying data-driven models, methods, and algorithms utilizing advanced machine learning tools and AI models, including large language models (LLMs). In this position, the successful candidate will employ innovative techniques to develop solutions that address emerging business needs. They will guide teams through the development and deployment of solution prototypes, fostering an environment of business innovation while navigating the latest technology trends in Artificial Intelligence and Cloud computing. A strong aptitude for iterative, functionality-driven software development, preferably aligned with Agile principles, is essential. The role also emphasizes the importance of maintaining platform security and adhering to technical standards, making it a critical position for those passionate about driving operational excellence and innovation in IT integrations. This opportunity allows the candidate to significantly influence the future of the IMF's AI and Software Solutions Portfolio. The Associate App Developer will be involved in designing methods, tools, and infrastructure to deliver Generative AI solutions, applying AI technologies to enhance the Fund's IT services. They will contribute to experimental designs, write reusable code, and run evaluations while collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for enhancements to AI platforms. The role also includes recommending solutions to meet business requirements, coordinating technical testing, maintaining testing documentation, and resolving technical issues reported by users. The candidate will ensure compliance with IT change management processes and maintain system stability while monitoring AI platforms for best practices in security and integration. Additionally, they will support the design and development of integrations with third-party vendors and internal systems, stay current with advancements in AI technology, and assist in creating roadmaps for new features.
