About the position

The Associate Art Director in Marketing & Digital at DaySpring plays a crucial role in shaping the visual direction of marketing materials across both print and digital platforms. This position requires a blend of artistic talent, leadership, and strong communication skills to enhance the brand experience and ensure high-quality design solutions that align with DaySpring's mission of spreading God's love.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the creative process for ongoing digital marketing needs.
  • Influence team members and advocate for new ideas while setting high standards.
  • Elevate brand experience across all digital channels through design and photography.
  • Develop and maintain template/framework solutions to drive efficiency in the creative process.
  • Provide art direction and design for major print publications such as catalogs, magazines, and ads.
  • Set visual direction and cast vision for improving and elevating quality in print materials.
  • Participate in all stages of the creative process, including concepting, content-gathering, designing, feedback, and printing.
  • Collaborate with business partners from start to finish on projects.
  • Oversee internal and external designers as required by each project.
  • Integrate editorial, artwork, photography, and typography into cohesive design solutions.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to determine photography needs.
  • Develop and present art-direction and seek feedback on photography.
  • Schedule and lead pre-production meetings for photography.
  • Build concept sheets and shot lists for photography shoots.
  • Source props and coordinate models and locations for shoots.
  • Oversee post-production and file delivery for photography projects.
  • Maintain brand standards across the library of images and innovate photography capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand and solve marketing and creative challenges.
  • Keep open communication with all stakeholders throughout each project stage.
  • Cast vision and advocate for big ideas while adhering to budget and resource limitations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of professional work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a design-related field.
