About the position

As an Associate Art Director at Digitas, you will play a pivotal role in bringing to life cross-channel initiatives that encompass large web projects and online advertising. Your daily responsibilities will involve utilizing your exceptional craft to create and communicate concepts that not only intrigue but also inspire both your peers and clients. You will be expected to back up your creative ideas with smart rationale, ensuring that your designs resonate with the intended audience. Your tasks will include designing comprehensive materials such as comps, storyboards, initial graphic concepts, and final deliverables. You will engage in brainstorming sessions and develop campaigns while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with copywriters to ensure that the visuals and copy are perfectly synchronized, enhancing the overall impact of the concepts you create. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Create and communicate concepts that intrigue and inspire peers and clients.
  • Design comps, storyboards, initial graphic concepts, and final deliverables.
  • Brainstorm and develop campaigns while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with copywriters to ensure visual and copy alignment for powerful concepts.

Requirements

  • Exceptional conceptual and design skills with a robust portfolio showcasing talent in both print and web.
  • Strong experience in large cross-channel and/or direct-marketing initiatives across various media.
  • In-depth understanding of HTML/dHTML and web browser capabilities.
  • Strong typographical, motion graphic, and interaction design skills, including knowledge of Flash, Ajax, Flex, and emerging platforms.
  • A four-year degree with formal design training and one to three years of relevant work experience.
  • A knack for strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution.
