About the position

The Associate Athletic Director for Major Gifts at the University of North Carolina Charlotte is responsible for leading fundraising efforts to support the Athletic Department's mission. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts of $50,000 and above from individuals and corporations, enhancing donor engagement, and collaborating with staff and coaches to meet the department's fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts to support the athletic department's fundraising goals.
  • Develop, manage, and execute prospect strategies to increase donor engagement.
  • Collaborate with staff, coaches, and administration to cultivate and solicit donors for athletic department priorities.
  • Report directly to the Executive Director and work closely with a team of major gift fundraisers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit, and close gifts.
  • Knowledge of Paciolan and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to organize time, work efficiently, set and meet goals.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Willingness and ability to work nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current, valid driver's license.
