About the position

The Associate Athletic Director for Major Gifts at UNC Charlotte is responsible for leading fundraising efforts to support the mission of the Athletic Department. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts of $50,000 and above from individuals and corporations, enhancing donor engagement, and collaborating with staff and coaches to meet the department's fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts to support the athletic department's fundraising goals.
• Develop, manage, and execute prospect strategies to increase donor engagement.
• Collaborate with staff, coaches, and administration to solicit donors for athletic department priorities.
• Work closely with a team of major gift fundraisers to achieve fundraising objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit, and close gifts.
• Knowledge of Paciolan and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to organize time, work efficiently, and meet goals.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• Willingness and ability to work nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves
