About the position

Lesley University is seeking a collaborative and dynamic individual to serve as the Associate Athletic Director / Baseball Head Coach. This role will assist the Director of Athletics with all aspects of management associated with the Lesley Athletic Department while heading the operation for the Baseball program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of facilities management and rentals, equipment management, and will serve as the main liaison for the department with their contracted gear vendor for uniform management and upkeep. This position will also involve collaboration with the Director for strategic planning initiatives that align with institutional goals. Lesley University is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) with 14 varsity programs and a competitive Esports Program, serving over 150 student-athletes. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership traits and be prepared to support other administrative initiatives assigned by the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Athletics with management of the Lesley Athletic Department.
  • Head the operation for the Baseball program.
  • Manage all aspects of facilities management and rentals.
  • Oversee equipment management and serve as the main liaison for uniform management with the contracted gear vendor.
  • Collaborate with the Director for strategic planning initiatives that align with institutional goals.
  • Support other administrative initiatives assigned by the Athletic Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of combined experience in Athletic Administration & Coaching.
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Teams.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and managerial skills.
  • Experience with event management and site supervision.
  • Ability to work independently but as an integral part of a team.
  • Driver's License required.
