About the position

The Associate Athletic Director, Sport Success plays a pivotal role in the Department of Athletics at IMG Academy, focusing on enhancing the development and training programs for student-athletes. This leadership position collaborates closely with sport leadership to ensure that all athletic programs meet the academy's high standards, emphasizing player development, coaching excellence, and integration with personal development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sport leadership to implement player development and training programs across Athletics.
• Work with Sport Directors and Technical Directors to align coaching and training programs with established principles and standards.
• Design and implement consistent team and training group structures across each sport.
• Measure the success of each group and team against established department and sport objectives annually.
• Assist Sport Directors in developing and reviewing competition scheduling for each sport program.
• Act as the academy lead for Teamworks, the main communication tool for parents, athletes, and staff.
• Manage NPS scores related to sport training, coaching, and competition across all Athletics programs.
• Partner with the Athletic & Personal Development Department to create annual training plans.
• Establish standards for the utilization of Athlete Management System and other key technologies during training.
• Lead the integration of technology and video systems to enhance training practices.
• Develop and implement a robust coaching education program for IMG Academy coaches.
• Collaborate with Sport Directors and HR on staffing, including recruitment and onboarding of coaches.
• Oversee Athletics video staff and coordinate across all sport programs.
• Monitor international sport development and participation trends.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Academy's strategic plan.
• Assist the VP of Athletics in ensuring consistent sport program delivery with the Academy's vision and mission.
• Lead research projects and analyze information to support management decision-making.
• Maintain operational consistency across all sport programs.
• Act as a liaison between Sport Directors, Program Managers, Advisors, and other staff.
• Assist in developing candidate pools for Academy positions and participate in hiring processes.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to athletic staff and coaches.
• Travel to off-campus events as needed.
• Adhere to all rules of governing agencies including NCAA and FHSAA.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of post-education experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in athletic administration.
• Strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to maintain a dynamic work environment with operational excellence.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization.
• Superior work ethic and desire to foster a positive culture.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business, Sports Management, Education, or related field.
• Experience as a collegiate or professional student-athlete.
