Charles V. Hardenbergh, PC is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney specializing in reckless driving and DUI defense. The role involves providing top-notch legal representation, advocating for clients' rights, and achieving the best possible outcomes in criminal defense cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills and a passion for criminal law, working closely with senior associates and clients to manage cases effectively.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
• Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and determine the best course of action
• Represent clients in court for reckless driving and DUI cases
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Develop case strategies and manage cases from inception to resolution
• Negotiate with prosecutors and other legal representatives
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to reckless driving and DUI

Requirements

• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills
• Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow the client base
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Virginia
• 1-3 years of experience in criminal defense preferable with a focus on reckless driving and DUI cases
• Strong understanding of State DUI and Traffic laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
