About the position

The Associate Attorney will represent clients in personal injury law cases and collaborate with the legal team to ensure high standards of legal service. This role involves managing personal injury caseloads, interacting with insurance companies, and providing direction to non-attorney staff. The position is primarily based in Topeka, KS or Lawrence, KS, with potential travel between the two locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation claim process and potential litigation.
• Interact and negotiate with insurance companies.
• Communicate and maintain positive client relationships.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required.
• Ensure accuracy of all documents prepared.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Active Bar license in Kansas.
• At least 1 year of experience in personal injury law claims or related legal experience such as workers' compensation, disability, or civil litigation.

Nice-to-haves

• Active Bar license in Missouri.
