About the position

Our growing law firm is seeking a passionate Associate Attorney specializing in family law. This role involves representing clients during challenging times, particularly in matters related to divorce, child custody, and real estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a proven record of success in court, ensuring clients receive effective representation and support throughout their legal journey.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and often with clients with an emphasis on efficiently progressing cases along
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date
• Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
• Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed

Requirements

• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
• Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
