About the position

The Associate AVP - Backend Java Developer position is focused on server-side development, requiring a strong background in Core Java and experience with messaging systems and database management. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side Java applications.
• Implement and integrate messaging systems (MQ) for inter-service communication.
• Handle data access and manipulation using strong database skills.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within a Scrum team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in the CI/CD processes for build, deployment, and monitoring.
• Support the implementation of AWS cloud services for scalable solutions.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in server-side Java development (Core Java).
• 6-9 years of overall experience in software development.
• Strong experience with messaging systems (MQ) for backend services.
• Solid experience with database management, including SQL and data modeling.
• Experience in building and maintaining backend services in Java.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
• Exposure to AWS and cloud deployment practices.
• Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
• Bonus skills include Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful services.
