About the position
The Associate Billing and Collections Representative at Covenant Health is responsible for ensuring accurate coding and submission of claims, addressing claim edits, and following up on outstanding accounts. This role requires ethical and compliant billing and collection activities, contributing to the overall mission of patient-focused care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure correct coding initiatives are met for clean claim submission.
- Address claim edits and file all claims on UB-04 or 1500 formats.
- Complete follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Identify functional issues and report them to the appropriate leader.
- Conduct all billing and collection activities in an ethical and compliant manner.
Requirements
- Experience in computer applications.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of healthcare business office experience or related field.
- 3 years of medical billing and medical terminology experience.
