About the position

The Associate Brand Manager will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of strategic and tactical brand plans for the North American Distillers Limited American Whiskey Portfolio. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about brand management and are eager to take on significant leadership responsibilities. The Associate Brand Manager will be involved in various aspects of brand management, including general management, brand program creation, innovation, and the execution of key brand initiatives. This role will also require coordination and support for brand content creation, financial accountability, and P&L analysis, along with regular analysis of business performance. Reporting directly to the Brand Portfolio Director, the Associate Brand Manager will have the opportunity to influence brand strategies and contribute to the overall success of the brand portfolio. In this role, the Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for monitoring the business's performance through key performance indicators, providing valuable insights to the team to inform execution strategies. The position involves acting as a day-to-day support to the Senior Brand Manager, assisting in the development of the Brand Annual Operating Plan, Consumer Engagement Platform, and managing P&L and A&P spend guidelines. The Associate Brand Manager will also support the development of long-term innovation plans in collaboration with the Innovation Hub, ensuring successful execution of product launches, content creation, and budget planning. Additionally, the Associate Brand Manager will support the execution of the festival strategy, including creative development and on-site communication with the field. The role will require collaboration with the Channel Marketing team to ensure effective commercial execution across both on-premise and off-premise channels. The Associate Brand Manager will also assist in the creation of national programs and strategies, ensuring flexibility and local adaptation while delivering brand digital strategies and media engagement plans. This position will also involve coordinating the creation of brand assets for ongoing campaigns and supporting financial accountability through vendor management and budget tracking. The Associate Brand Manager will be expected to track traditional and digital media strategies, demand territories, and brand perceptions to inform future strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor key performance indicators to provide insights for execution.
  • Assist the Senior Brand Manager with brand deliverables including the Brand Annual Operating Plan and Consumer Engagement Platform.
  • Support the development and execution of long-term innovation plans with the Innovation Hub.
  • Assist in the execution of NADL's festival strategy, including creative development and on-site communication.
  • Support commercial execution across On & Off-Premise alongside the Channel Marketing team.
  • Help create national programs and strategies with flexibility for local adaptation.
  • Coordinate the creation of brand assets for campaigns with the Creative Content Director.
  • Manage vendor purchase orders and track A&P budget for financial accountability.
  • Track traditional and digital media strategies and brand perceptions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, particularly in strategy and brand development.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to lead and influence teams effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
