About the position

The Associate Brand Manager at The Wine Group is responsible for contributing to strategic planning and leading execution for Estate Brands. This role requires a creative and consumer-led innovator with a strong foundation in CPG marketing best practices, business analytics, and data-driven storytelling. The position is based in Livermore, CA, and involves a hybrid work schedule with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the construct and business drivers of a brand's P&L.
  • Execute marketing plans against business priorities to achieve competitiveness and profitability.
  • Apply analytical tools and methods to participate in the development of brand strategy.
  • Transform data into actionable insights and craft cohesive business plans.
  • Leverage consumer, category, and brand trends to develop brand plans and gain stakeholder alignment.
  • Participate in the development of KPIs and report on performance metrics.
  • Apply knowledge regarding consumer targets across all brand activities.
  • Drive clarity in defining brand hierarchy and visual identity.
  • Evaluate creative elements and provide feedback to optimize visual identity.
  • Create strong, cohesive concepts aligning product, packaging, and consumer ideas.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities for whitespace innovation.
  • Deliver integrated marketing programs to increase consumer engagement and brand growth.
  • Develop brands and consumer engagement tactics tailored to the consumer purchase funnel.
  • Engage key stakeholders (sales, distributors, retailers) at each touchpoint.
  • Lead new product processes with cross-functional teams to commercialize new products.
  • Communicate brand plans and strategy clearly to gain leadership alignment.
  • Embody a ‘can-do' attitude and strive for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years marketing experience, or MBA and 2+ years business experience.
  • Strong grounding in CPG marketing best practices across the 4 Ps.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Super Premium+ alcohol beverage experience preferred, but not required.
