About the position

The Associate Brand Manager will play a crucial role in supporting brand awareness and strategies to enhance consumer engagement. This position involves executing brand communications, maintaining brand standards, and collaborating with sales to develop integrated marketing programs. The role also includes managing product lifecycle, supporting innovation initiatives, and conducting market research to inform product development strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support brand awareness, household penetration & strategies to increase consumer pull
  • Execute communications strategy against brand positioning & key messaging priorities
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained across platforms
  • Leverage paid and earned media effectively
  • Support & maintain brand calendar ensuring consistent messaging and execution
  • Develop and execute brand communications activities and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales organization to formulate integrated programs including shopper marketing & in-store display activities
  • Support partnerships, agency, and supplier relationships including product lifecycle management and new product development
  • Support the innovation agenda via concept development from ideation to concept creation, testing, and stage gate stewardship
  • Input innovation into a multi-year innovation pipeline aligned with the Snacking strategic pillar
  • Support product-related growth strategies, portfolio segmentation, and identifying priority Growth SKUs
  • Support category pricing strategy, providing insight and recommendations on mix, pricing & spend direction
  • Manage product optimization & re-development projects, packaging artwork optimization & change requests
  • Support regular P&L reporting including monthly & annual business reviews, identifying opportunities for top & bottom line growth
  • Conduct market research & trend review to inform product development strategies
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative consumer research to maximize future product potential
  • Perform sales growth analysis and source of volume identification
  • Identify rationalization & discontinuation opportunities
  • Support recommendations on product & innovation priorities and go/no-go decisions based on sales and margin contribution

Requirements

  • Preferred degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of Brand Management or CPG marketing experience
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage a variety of projects with some complexity
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of products; Asana experience preferred
  • Experience with SPINs & Nielsen
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation skills
