About the position

The Associate for the Multifamily Bridge Sales Desk at Greystone plays a crucial role in providing analytical, organizational, and strategic support for the team involved in analyzing, sizing, quoting, and issuing applications for multifamily bridge and mezzanine loans. This position is integral to managing a bridge lending platform with significant assets and requires a blend of financial acumen and effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Complete and review analysis of proposed transactions by assessing market dynamics, financial performance, loan economics, physical conditions, sponsor creditworthiness, and exit considerations.
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with transactions and provide solutions and risk mitigants.
• Independently drive deal screening and due diligence tasks in preparing loan models, quotes, and transaction summaries.
• Track and report on timing and stages of each transaction.
• Maintain regular communication with internal and external clients regarding the current loan pipeline and activity.
• Interact effectively with investors, borrowers, attorneys, and other third parties as applicable.
• Work independently on projects while also collaborating as a team player.
• Handle or proactively cover special projects and other duties as needed or assigned.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
• Interact positively with team members, colleagues, and senior executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of commercial real estate finance related experience.
• Advanced MS Office with expert Excel skills required.
• Multifamily analytic/underwriting experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and capable of prioritizing and executing multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Combines a customer-focused origination mentality with strong credit underwriting skills.
• Driven, innovative team player focused on results.
