About the position

The Associate Business Controller will assist with corporate financial and accounting functions for the Americas, coordinating with various departments. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong finance or accounting background who are looking to advance their careers. Responsibilities include budget preparation, financial analysis, and supporting operational metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, develop and maintain location budgets for plant locations including key metrics and volume tracking.
  • Conduct monthly analytical reviews, balance sheet account reconciliations, variance analysis, and prepare monthly reporting packages.
  • Develop and implement an annual budget process and monthly forecast methodology for plant managers.
  • Conduct cost model analysis for in-sourcing and out-sourcing decisions and assist in developing internal control policies.
  • Develop annual capital expenditure budget and forecast with management and assist with quarterly and year-end audit requirements.
  • Review, approve, support, and track capital expenditures related to assigned locations.
  • Track actual results and identify deviations to assumptions per pricing and ongoing modeling updates.
  • Ensure correct accounting for new business and manage accounts receivable for assigned customers.
  • Prepare monthly financial results package and coordinate review with operations and finance leadership.
  • Manage all fixed assets and leases within the location.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience in a hands-on, operationally focused finance role.
  • Experience in a warehousing environment preferred.
  • SAP & BPC experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices used in accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.

  • Experience in corporate finance roles.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards.
