About the position

The Associate Business Development Liaison (BDL) plays a crucial role in supporting business development activities by collaborating with business developers and subject matter experts. This position is designed to facilitate a transition for high performers from inside sales to the PPD Business Development outside sales team. The BDL ensures client-readiness of materials for various meetings, drives creative solutions for top-tier accounts, and provides key insights to support management decisions through data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business developers and subject matter experts to support business development activities.
  • Ensure client-readiness of materials for client meetings, including briefing documents and Bid Defense Meetings.
  • Develop and manage follow-up materials for client meetings and ensure effective client engagement at industry conferences.
  • Drive creative solutions for top-tier accounts and create unique content for the selling process.
  • Gather and centralize experience lists for pitches, proposals, and submissions, ensuring appropriate messaging.
  • Provide key input and analysis to support management decisions and generate reports from CRM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong aspiration to transition into PPD Business Development outside sales team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional client interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate with various internal departments.
  • Experience with lead generation and territory management strategy development.
  • Proficient in sales automation systems, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to coordinate information from diverse sources and maintain confidentiality.
