About the position

The Associate Business Intelligence Developer (BID) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining decision intelligence solutions and data analytics platforms within the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to analyze requests, formulating them into working requirements, and delivering visualizations and solutions that promote a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases, enabling them to run complex queries and support data analysis needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain decision intelligence solutions and data analytics platforms.
• Analyze requests from stakeholders and translate them into working requirements.
• Deliver visualizations and solutions to enable users to access necessary information.
• Run complex SQL queries with multiple joins and manage relational database concepts.
• Collaborate with end-user departments to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code validation and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to standards, best practices, policies, and procedures related to architecture and compliance.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and execute queries upon request.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Math, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of experience writing performant SQL.
• 6 months of experience utilizing a data visualization tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Proven ability to elicit and document requirements from diverse business stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with Symitar Episys.
• Experience in the financial industry or with financial institutions.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and strategies using tools like DataStage, Informatica, or SSIS.
• Experience with SQL Server and SSRS.
• Familiarity with Snowflake (Cloud data platform).
• Experience with Arkalytics.
• Knowledge of data modeling architecture and design.
• Experience working with stored procedures.
