About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Business Lending Development Consultant in the Personal Lending & Retail Services sector. This role is integral to the Personal Lending organization, which includes the company's innovative Flex Loan product and its unsecured personal loan offerings, as well as the Wells Fargo Retail Services business. The Personal Lending division is focused on transforming customer engagement through cutting-edge digital solutions that enhance the overall customer experience. As an Associate Business Lending Development Consultant, you will be responsible for making outbound calls aimed at acquiring new merchant partners to extend consumer finance products to their customers. This position requires a deep understanding of various industries, programs, and market segments, as well as advanced knowledge of the sales process and phone sales techniques. You will act as a liaison between different departments and the merchant/client/customer to facilitate successful sales outcomes. In this role, you will manage relationships with assigned medium to large and high-profile dealer accounts, developing strategies, proposals, and initiatives to generate additional revenue while ensuring dealer satisfaction. You will analyze the profitability of ongoing relationships and make recommendations to management regarding account management. Additionally, you will perform needs analyses with current customers to understand their needs and collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. This position requires independent judgment and a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships for assigned medium to large and high-profile dealer accounts.
  • Develop strategy, proposals, and initiatives to generate additional revenues through optimizing business opportunities and ensuring dealer satisfaction.
  • Analyze profitability of ongoing relationship management and make recommendations to management about account disposition.
  • Perform needs analyses with current customers and understand customer needs.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal customers and receive direction from leaders while exercising independent judgment.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Business Lending Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 6+ months of sales experience.
  • 6+ months of customer service experience in a contact center environment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to meet or exceed business goals and objectives while fostering a team atmosphere.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and internal partners both in person and on the phone.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
