About the position

The Associate IT Analyst position at Valmont is an Individual Contributor role focused on optimizing and standardizing the functionality of ERP and various Business Systems. The role aims to integrate these systems into business processes to enhance efficiency for all stakeholders. Key responsibilities include requirement analysis, testing plan development, and user training support, while actively participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. The position embodies Valmont's core values and collaborates across the Global IT organization.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and standardize ERP and Business Systems functionality.
  • Integrate business systems into processes for improved efficiency.
  • Estimate effort and analyze requirements for application enhancements.
  • Develop and execute testing plans for functional user testing.
  • Prepare training documentation and support end-user training activities.
  • Participate in all aspects of the SDLC process.
  • Recommend opportunities for improvement within IT processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to document functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of enterprise business systems architecture and functionality.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct research into enterprise business systems applications.
  • Understanding of manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven analytical and evaluative abilities.
  • High initiative and self-motivation.
  • Effective problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Timekeeping software such as Workforce Software or Kronos.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops or JIRA.
  • Business analysis certifications from IIBA or PMI.
  • Experience with reporting tools like Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
