About the position

The Associate Category Manager for HR Services, Talent Acquisition, and Benefits Administration plays a crucial role in managing the Human Resources spend categories across the Americas region. This position is responsible for aligning category strategies with business needs, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement strategies to deliver value to the business. The role involves negotiating with suppliers, overseeing project initiatives, and ensuring sustainability within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of the Human Resources regional category plan for the Americas region.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Advise on and drive procurement strategies, preparing competitive bids, quotations, and proposals.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage stakeholder and supplier relationships.
  • Lead project initiatives tied to category strategies to deliver value to the business.
  • Ensure sustainability initiatives with key suppliers within the category.
  • Lead cost, service, SLAs, and other negotiations for strategic suppliers in the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience, including Procurement/Category Management/Supply Chain experience
  • Oral and written fluency in Business English
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence others
  • Supplier or Project Management experience, including the ability to drive negotiations to closure under time constraints
  • Understanding of HR Services in the US environment
  • Knowledge of the Employee Benefits landscape in the US
  • Ability to leverage a range of influencing techniques
  • Proven ability to manage change
  • Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Procurement Qualification
  • Experience with HR Services, Contingent Labor, Benefits Administration, or Insurance Services
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new concepts related to HR Services in the US
  • Strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry or related industries
  • Significant experience in Category Management
  • Significant negotiation experience with favorable outcomes for stakeholders.
