About the position

The Associate CFO will play a critical role in managing the financial operations and planning processes of the organization, reporting directly to the CEO and CFO. This position requires a strong background in financial management, particularly within a hospital setting, to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines. The Associate CFO will be a key member of the Administrative Team, contributing to the overall operations of the organization and ensuring that financial reporting is timely and accurate. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing financial analyses for both new and existing programs, with a focus on maximizing profitability. This includes analyzing the financial impact of union contracts and other operational decisions. The role demands extensive knowledge of healthcare accounting practices and principles, as well as a basic understanding of healthcare business operations. The Associate CFO will also oversee a team, requiring strong leadership and supervisory skills to guide financial management efforts effectively. In addition to financial oversight, the Associate CFO will be expected to maintain a high level of computer literacy to utilize various financial software and tools necessary for effective reporting and analysis. This position is full-time and may involve working 12-hour or 8-hour shifts, depending on the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the financial operations and planning process of the organization.
  • Ensure timely reporting to the CEO, CFO, and COO/CNO in compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Perform financial analysis for new and existing programs to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Analyze the financial impact of union contracts and other operational decisions.
  • Oversee the financial management team and provide leadership and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of financial management experience in a hospital setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare accounting practices and principles.
  • Basic understanding of the business of healthcare and hospital operations.
  • Computer literate.
