About the position

The Associate Channel Manager is a pivotal role within American Woodmark, focusing on the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives. This position involves close collaboration with either Made-to-Order (MTO) or Made-to-Stock (MTS) Channel Managers or Senior Channel Managers to drive joint marketing campaigns, manage partner relationships, and analyze market trends. The goal is to maximize the effectiveness of channel marketing programs, which are essential for supporting product launches and digital initiatives for assigned MTO or stock products. The Associate Channel Manager will play a key role in ensuring that marketing efforts align with the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence. In this role, the Associate Channel Manager will maintain regular communication with partners and the commercial team to support their marketing efforts. This includes working closely with the Digital Team to manage and update websites, monitor channel social media platforms, and ensure that online product listings on retailer sites are maintained to a best-in-class standard. The position also involves creating and managing promotional materials, coordinating product launch activities, and supporting the development of digital assets needed for successful product launches. The Associate Channel Manager will be responsible for analyzing market data, providing insights on product performance, and gathering competitive information to inform marketing strategies. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a blend of marketing experience, analytical skills, and the ability to build effective business relationships. They will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and be adaptable to changing priorities. A strong focus on creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role. The Associate Channel Manager will report directly to the Channel Manager and will not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with MTO or MTS Channel Managers to drive joint marketing campaigns.
  • Manage partner relationships and analyze market trends to maximize channel marketing effectiveness.
  • Support product launches and digital initiatives for assigned products.
  • Maintain regular communication with partners and the commercial team to support marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with the Digital Team to manage and update websites and monitor social media platforms.
  • Monitor and update online product listings on retailer sites.
  • Communicate product and merchandising materials and coordinate plans with the merchandising team.
  • Support channel product launch activities, including asset creation and promotional materials.
  • Create AFE for commercialization costs of stock launches.
  • Manage account promotional communication.
  • Upload and maintain all digital assets in marketing's digital asset manager.
  • Provide channel product mix, product performance, and brand performance analysis.
  • Gather and maintain competitor price, product, and programming information.
  • Address ad-hoc marketing requests from the commercial team and customers.
  • Maintain showroom displays and printed literature to align with brand guidelines.
  • Communicate with internal teams to support ongoing training related to product events and activities.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in marketing, channel management, sales, or a related area; OR a minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, channel management, sales, or a related area with a total of 5 years work experience.
  • Experience working in a digital environment and utilizing social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Excellent planning, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience with business presentations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially utilizing Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to build effective business relationships.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and rapidly adapt to changes in plans.
