About the position

The Associate Chemical or Process Engineer position at Harris Group involves providing professional engineering expertise for industrial projects in the Biotech industry. This role focuses on design, analysis, troubleshooting, and field support within the Life Sciences group, aiming to positively impact the community and environment. The position is temporary, with an initial duration of one year, and requires a daily commute to Thousand Oaks, California.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource on complex designs and advance engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
• Perform mechanical design, working with other members of the mechanical staff, and coordinate with other disciplines on specific projects.
• Coordinate design with vendor supplied equipment.
• Support equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering techniques commonly used in industrial capital projects.
• Familiarity with process system design and equipment (i.e. pumps, fans, heat exchangers, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, conveyors and air handlers).
• Ability to identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs.
• Proficient with MSOffice suite.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Thousand Oaks Daily will be required.
