About the position

The Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (ACMIO) for Radiology at Ochsner Health plays a strategic leadership role in advancing digital care delivery within the healthcare system. This position involves collaboration with senior leadership to implement and optimize the electronic medical record system, enhance clinical processes, and improve patient outcomes through innovative digital health technologies. The ACMIO will also maintain clinical responsibilities within the Radiology Department, ensuring high-quality care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the implementation and adoption of the electronic medical healthcare system.
  • Develop and lead a strong governance model for health information technology and data governance.
  • Lead efforts to use clinical data to monitor and develop best practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.
  • Assist the CMIO in advising the CMO and CIO on digital care delivery advancements.
  • Promote standardization of clinical processes and interoperability, and advance patient care initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue advancements in digital care technologies that add value to the organization.
  • Communicate changes in clinical digital care technology to care delivery audiences.
  • Lead efforts for EMR ease of use practices and implementation of the Enterprise Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Develop effective governance for digital care delivery, including data governance and reporting.
  • Provide usable data to clinicians to support health improvement for individuals and populations.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a clinical leader in digital care delivery and electronic health record systems.
  • 3 years of experience supporting digital care delivery with increasing responsibility.
  • Certification from Epic as a physician builder.
  • Licensed Practicing Provider MD/DO.
  • Credentialed and willing to maintain clinical practice.

Nice-to-haves

  • Board certification in clinical informatics or completion of an ACGME accredited Clinical Informatics Fellowship program.
  • Board Certification in Radiology.
  • Experience using and supporting Epic's Electronic Medical Record System.
