About the position

The Associate Chief of Staff at UnityPoint Health is responsible for supporting the Chief of Staff and the President/CEO by performing complex and confidential professional-level duties. This role involves designing, leading, and delivering governance structures and process improvement initiatives within the health system, ensuring effective decision-making processes and integration of best practices into daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead tactical and strategic governance structures and process improvement work.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in building tools and templates for decision-making structures and processes.
• Partner with leaders across the organization to develop and execute decision-making structures and processes.
• Assess and prioritize decision-making support within the UPH President/CEO's portfolio.
• Work closely with senior executives and program leaders to implement system initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
• Experience managing structures and processes in complex environments with rapidly changing priorities.
• Experience managing strategic portfolios, governance structures, and leading/influencing without direct authority.
• Experience engaging a wide variety of stakeholders, from executives to individual contributors.
• Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Project Management, Process Improvement, or equivalent coursework.
• Experience leading change within a healthcare setting.
• Experience in project management, process improvement, and governance.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
