About the position

Johnson and Johnson, Inc. is seeking an Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) for the Rapid City and Sioux Falls, SD area. This position is designed as a 6-9 month training program for individuals with little to no experience in electrophysiology (EP). Upon successful completion of the training, the ACAS will be promoted to a Clinical Account Specialist (CAS). In this role, the CAS will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance to physicians and EP lab staff, focusing on the effective use of BWI's systems and catheter equipment, including the CARTO® System and associated software modules during case procedures. The primary goal is to meet and exceed business objectives while ensuring high-quality support and training to medical professionals. The ACAS will engage in comprehensive training, which includes understanding the dynamics of an EP lab, interacting with various stakeholders, and developing solutions based on training dialogues. The role requires maintaining composure in high-stress situations, responding to requests via email and voicemail, and collaborating with local teams and support staff. Adherence to company guidelines regarding health, safety, and compliance with regulations is essential. The position also offers a company car through the FLEET program and eligibility for performance-based bonuses, health insurance, and other employee benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all portions of the ACAS fellowship training program without exception.
  • Engage in dialogue with multiple internal and external business partners and stakeholders, formulating solutions based on input gained during training.
  • Understand the dynamics of an EP lab, including interactions with physicians, nurses, technicians, and clinical administrators.
  • Prioritize and respond to requests in a high-stress environment while maintaining composure.
  • Drive collaboration and maintain open lines of communication across assigned responsibilities with local teams and support staff.
  • Follow all company guidelines related to health, safety, and environmental practices.

Requirements

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree is required by the hire date.
  • OR minimum of 2 years of related professional experience (engineering, or procedural hospital setting) is required with an Associate's degree.
  • OR a minimum of 1 year of EP mapping experience with an Associate's degree is required.
  • OR Graduate from an accredited academic program or Industry prep school with a focus on EP with Bachelor's degree is required.
  • OR exiting a branch of the US military with an Associate's degree is required.
  • A valid driver's license issued in the United States is required.
  • Ability to travel related to this role is required, with willingness to travel up to 40% overnight.

  • Priority given to candidates with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cardiac Function & Interventional Technology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Informatics and/or Data Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Physics, or Technical Design.
