About the position

The Associate Clinician (AMFT or ASW) position at the Family Justice Center in Fairfield, CA, is designed for individuals passionate about supporting victims of interpersonal violence. This role involves providing trauma-informed therapy and care to clients, conducting assessments, and developing safety and service plans. The position emphasizes flexibility to meet the needs of clients, particularly youth, and requires a commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening interviews with incoming clients, including needs assessment, safety plan, service plan, and follow-up plan.
  • Complete required training in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) and Bounce Back, adapting these therapies for use at the Solano Center.
  • Carry a caseload of individual clients (50 clients per year) and provide individual and group therapy using the CBITS and Bounce Back models.
  • Participate in ongoing case-planning with Family Justice Navigators.
  • Monitor program deliverables and evaluation.
  • Assist with grant reporting.
  • Perform other duties, functions, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of youth clients and their families.

Requirements

  • Associate Clinician (AMFT or ASW) required.
  • Two years' experience in providing trauma-informed therapy and care preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or a background in domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, elder abuse, or human trafficking.
  • Experience providing counseling/therapy and working with complex, chronic trauma using trauma-informed interventions.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • De-escalation, conflict resolution, and crisis-management skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new areas and practices.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal flexibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google features.

Nice-to-haves
