About the position

As an Associate Cloud Consultant specializing in DevOps at AWS Professional Services, you will lead and influence customers through their DevOps journey, applying your technical expertise to solve complex cloud-based challenges. This role focuses on the accelerated career development of early career professionals, providing opportunities to work with enterprise customers and engage in a variety of projects that drive customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and partners on key engagements in a DevOps role.
  • Design and code modules for infrastructure, applications, and processes.
  • Develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects and technical workshops.
  • Support implementation projects and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
  • Create white papers, author blogs, and build demos for customer use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a conferral date between May 2023 to May 2025.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, Node.js, or similar object-oriented language.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automating cloud native technologies and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
  • Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab Pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture.
  • Experience with configuration management frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewall.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregation frameworks like Kafka, Logstash, or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of the DORA metrics and their relation to the SDLC process.
  • Experience implementing cloud native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps.
  • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro or DevOps Engineer Pro.
