About the position

The Associate Cloud Consultant, DevOps role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is designed for early career professionals who are passionate about guiding customers through their DevOps journey. This position involves working on complex cloud-based solutions, collaborating with enterprise customers, and applying technical expertise to deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions. The role emphasizes mentorship, career growth, and a commitment to an inclusive team culture, with significant travel expected as part of customer engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and partners on key engagements in a DevOps role.
  • Design and code modules for infrastructure, applications, and processes.
  • Develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects and technical workshops.
  • Support implementation projects and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
  • Create white papers, author blogs, and build demos for customer use.
  • Work with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Service Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a conferral date between May 2023 to May 2025.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, Node.js, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience with automating cloud native technologies and deploying applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
  • Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab Pipelines.
  • Knowledge of microservices and distributed application architecture, including containers and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with configuration management frameworks like Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregation frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElastiSearch, and Kibana.
  • Familiarity with the DORA metrics and their relation to the SDLC process.
