About the position

The Associate, Commercial Credit Portfolio position is a critical role within the Commercial Credit Department, designed to operate as a self-contained credit unit. The associate will be responsible for performing and coordinating comprehensive credit, collateral, and economic reviews of all financing proposals. This role requires a high level of decision-making responsibility, particularly in coordinating the proper documentation of transactions. The associate will be expected to clock in and out daily, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. In this position, the associate will complete periodic reviews in various required formats, including CCAP, Risk Based Review, or Automated Review. They will also conduct assigned Dealer Monthly Reviews, providing recommendations aimed at minimizing the number of Watch List dealers. The associate will be tasked with completing applicable items on the liquidation checklist following floorplan payoffs, reviewing overline/aging accounts, and interfacing with Sales to identify causal factors and develop plans for reduction. Additionally, the associate will review floorplan insurance policies to ensure proper coverage and compliance, collect on excessive audit exceptions, and monitor payments and curtailments. The role also involves participating in other assigned duties as requested, including processing new requests as needed. Responsibilities

  • Complete periodic reviews in the required scheduled formats; CCAP, Risk Based Review or Automated Review
  • Complete assigned Dealer Monthly Reviews with recommendations to minimize the number of Watch List dealers
  • Complete applicable tasks on the liquidation checklist after floorplan payoffs
  • Review overline/aging and interface with Sales to determine causal factors and obtain plan to reduce
  • Review floorplan insurance policies for proper coverage & compliance
  • Collect on excessive audit exceptions (SIV/FIV), principal & interest payments (10th business day of month) and curtailments (last business day of the month). Monitor and follow-up on reported duplicate financed vehicles
  • Participate in any other assigned duties as requested including processing new requests as needed

Requirements

  • 2 years of automotive finance credit analysis experience required
  • Knowledge of financial statements preferred
  • College Degree in Business or related field
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a high level of subject matter expertise in all areas supported
  • Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask
