About the position

Arcadis is seeking an Associate Consultant for its Sustainability Advisory team, responsible for delivering sustainability-related projects across various industries. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports and presentations. The position is hybrid and can be based in any U.S. Arcadis office, with a focus on collaboration across global business areas to address complex sustainability challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of sustainability-related projects ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrate consulting, technical task, and communication skills around sustainability projects.
  • Deliver corporate sustainability consulting projects with measurable results.
  • Conduct analysis and client communications contributing to high-quality deliverables and best practices.
  • Support clients in areas such as decarbonization strategy, energy and GHG emission calculations, and sustainability reporting.
  • Act as a resource on projects to support successful delivery of specific outputs individually or as part of a team.
  • Carry out research within client organizations and externally to identify and collect relevant data and information.
  • Analyze data to uncover insights that inform consulting solutions and sales proposals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for sales proposals and client presentations.
  • Present outcomes of analyses at team meetings to communicate insights and propose value-adding strategies.
  • Further develop understanding of Arcadis services and client businesses for personal performance improvement and career development.
  • Collaborate with Sustainability Advisory US team members and peers across geographies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, business with sustainability background, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in sustainability or management consulting, or as a sustainability manager in industry.
  • Advanced research, data gathering, and analysis skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with desktop applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional training and/or certifications in sustainability.
  • Experience in Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, or other digital solutions.
