About the position

The Associate Contract Specialist in Procurement is responsible for providing centralized contract support to the Charter Business Units. This role acts as a point of contact within the Procurement Operations group, managing workspace creation in Ariba, overseeing contract approvals, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The position requires collaboration with various departments to enhance the customer experience and maintain effective contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Manage the contract request intake process and assign contract-related activities to Procurement Operations resources.
  • Organize and document work electronically using a contract status log and electronic filing system.
  • Assist with the management of Ariba Contract Workspace through all stages including creation, approval, amendment, and signature.
  • Execute and distribute routine reports for the team and take necessary actions.
  • Provide ongoing contract management support, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Review and analyze contracts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Understand service level agreements within the department.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to meet their needs.
  • Work with Procurement, Legal, and Finance to ensure contracts comply with company standards.
  • Assist Central Contracts team members with administrative tasks related to contract management.
  • Participate in project teams or special project assignments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 0-3 years of experience in contract administration.
  • 0-1 years of experience in project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Legal and contract background.
  • Familiarity with the Strategic Sourcing process.
  • Experience with Legal, Finance, and other inter-related departments.
  • Education in Law or Supply Chain Management.
  • Contract/legal/paralegal experience preferred.
