About the position

The Associate Control Manager in Client Account Services plays a vital role in the Operations Control Management team, focusing on ensuring a sustainable and disciplined control environment within Securities Services Operations. This position involves proactive risk management, real-time issue detection, and collaboration with business units to address and remediate operational risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business' risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses.
• Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture.
• Perform ongoing analysis of program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop ad-hoc reports to support business-related programs and strategies.
• Assist with the development of Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentation through participation in process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive the Operations strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3 or more years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
• Understanding of how operational risk is managed within the firm and familiarity with data sources, tools, and governance forums.
• Ability to apply Data Quality, Data Visualization, Data Lineage, and Machine Learning to develop and maintain a governance and control environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and highlight key messages, including recommended actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with global stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing demands under pressure and manage expectations across Controls Management and Operations teams.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in intelligent automation tools like Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath.
