About the position

In this position, you will participate in the monthly, mid-year, and annual closing processes, which include preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and driving continuous process improvements. You will be responsible for preparing monthly HFM reporting packages for corporate, performing variance analysis for both the balance sheet and income statement, and collaborating with controlling teams to develop accurate commentary on business factors and trends. Additionally, you will conduct analytical reviews to summarize the factors driving variances in overall balance sheet statements. Your role will also involve preparing, reviewing, and approving key account reconciliations for various assets and liabilities, ensuring that you obtain necessary interpretations and supporting documents from business unit analysts. You will assist in the review, resolution, or optimization of intercompany transactions and prepare schedules to facilitate internal and external audits. Furthermore, you will develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls, increase your knowledge of IFRS, and gain exposure to technical research. Lastly, you will assist in transformation projects aimed at improving accounting processes through automation and standardization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly HFM reporting packages to corporate and perform monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement, liaising with the controlling teams to develop accurate commentary of business factors and trends.
  • Perform analytical review and summarize factors driving variances for overall balance sheet statements.
  • Prepare, review, and approve key account reconciliations for various assets and liabilities, obtaining interpretation and supporting documents from business unit analysts.
  • Assist with review, resolution or optimization of intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare schedules for and assist in facilitating the internal and external audits.
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Increase knowledge of IFRS and exposure to technical research.
  • Assist in transformation projects to improve accounting processes to more efficient and effective means (automation, standardization, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • At least 3+ years of relevant accounting experience including public accounting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, technical and Excel skills

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA or MBA
  • Working ERP knowledge (SAP, HFM, Dynamics, or other)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant accounting experience including public accounting
