About the position

This position is responsible for managing and improving service operations for school districts participating in the SCRIC Managed Data Service. The role involves daily communication with employees, evaluating processes, and ensuring efficient service delivery to customers. The individual will lead meetings, coordinate training, and maintain reports while acting as a liaison between SCRIC staff and school district personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Work with districts participating in the SCRIC Managed Data Service.
  • Provide daily direction and communication to employees on service operations and project-related tasks.
  • Evaluate processes and procedures, suggesting methods to improve operations and efficiency.
  • Assist in assigning appropriate team members for service-related issue resolution.
  • Prepare for and lead meetings with SCRIC staff to review open incidents and projects.
  • Interact with school district staff to ensure quick resolution of service-related issues.
  • Communicate regularly with SCRIC teams regarding service operations.
  • Collaborate with supervisor on developing long-range plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Enforce departmental policies and procedures within the department.
  • Review the quality of customer support provided to school districts.
  • Attend district or service meetings to provide information on SCRIC services.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training for users and SCRIC staff.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university and one year of customer service experience with technology hardware/software; OR
  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university and three years of customer service experience with technology hardware/software; OR
  • High school diploma or GED and five years of customer service experience with technology hardware/software; OR
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above.
  • Broome County Civil Service Exam required.
  • Qualifying experience must have been gained within the last five years.
