About the position

The Associate Creative Director on Apple Newsroom's Design Team is responsible for creating elegant design solutions for various content published on Apple Newsroom's web and social channels. This role involves collaborating with the Creative Director and other team members to develop original designs, manage creative direction for photography and illustrations, and ensure that all deliverables meet high standards of quality and align with Apple's branding.

Responsibilities

• Creating original designs that align with project goals and overall creative direction.
• Collaborating with the Creative Director, Designers, and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts and short form video treatments.
• Anticipating and solving for potential design challenges while maintaining existing creative solutions.
• Guiding ideas to meet both creative and business goals within the project scope.
• Presenting persuasively and clearly articulating design rationale for project creative solutions.
• Collaborating with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within given limitations and files are prepared with all vital information to support the design intent.
• Reviewing final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, and typography are flawless.
• Continually seeking opportunities to refine design thinking and improve workflows.

Requirements

• Experience in design and creative direction, particularly in digital media.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
