About the position

The Associate Creative Director/Art Director at Visa is responsible for producing innovative and engaging creative content across various platforms, including social media, TV commercials, and marketing campaigns. This role involves leading creative projects from ideation to execution, collaborating with a team of designers and copywriters, and ensuring that all work meets Visa's high standards for creative excellence. The position supports both Visa's core brand and its external clients, making it a dynamic and impactful role within the company's internal creative agency, Ad Hock.

Responsibilities

• Support Visa's 360 client marketing needs, including social content, pitch work, TV commercials, and stadium signage.
• Regularly communicate with internal marketing leads, designers, Art Directors, legal, and clients.
• Oversee the concepting of work to ensure it meets high standards for creative excellence.
• Provide effective feedback to teams and stakeholders.
• Work directly with a team of designers, art directors, and copywriters to manage all elements of creative production.
• Help pitch and win new business.
• Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability in creative work.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
• 8+ years of agency or in-house experience working with a wide range of clients and products.
• A portfolio with multiple examples of creative excellence.
• Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to confidently present to clients and persuade with a strong point of view.

Nice-to-haves

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
• Collaborative and respectful work ethic with an easy-going nature.
• Ability to work fast and be nimble under quick turn deadlines.
