About the position

The ACD Art Director at Razorfish is responsible for leading the concept development and translating those concepts into effective designs for various digital marketing initiatives. This role involves hands-on work across multiple projects, collaborating with creative teams, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring high-quality creative output that meets client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and leads the creative team in brainstorming sessions and concept creation
  • Presents work internally as well as to clients
  • Responsible for leading creative teams in the successful creation and production of art/design solutions
  • Follows creative direction of senior creative staff and account staff
  • Plans and directs many aspects of assigned projects, serving as an integral member of the creative team
  • Accountable for managing a team of creative talent and leading them in the development of creative work
  • Mentors and leads assigned creative staff, available to critique their work
  • Manages many internal details of assigned projects, including finding and/or choosing photographers
  • Works and coordinates with production and account staff
  • Leads the effort to translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas
  • Participates as a creative team member in new-business development efforts
  • Works with appropriate account representative on all projects

Requirements

  • Portfolio should include digital (social, mobile, web, CRM) work and campaign work
  • Must be conceptual/an idea person as well as hands-on
  • Strong conceptual skills with a broad knowledge of digital experiences
  • FinTech experience is a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience
  • Solid knowledge of steps required in the creative development process
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good people-management and coaching skills
  • Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills
