About the position

The Associate Creative Director, Art at VML is a pivotal role within the creative team, responsible for leading and executing innovative campaigns that capture attention and drive results. This position requires a blend of conceptual thinking, artistic talent, and strong client relationship skills, as the individual will oversee projects from inception to production while mentoring junior team members. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced nature of the advertising industry.

Responsibilities

• Handle larger paid campaigns and take ideas from concept through production.
• Jump in on proactive creative opportunities for core business and major clients.
• Partner with an ACD (Copy) to set the bar for creative work on accounts.
• Contribute to team culture and chemistry while executing work.
• Act as a mentor to cultivate the growth of junior creative teams.
• Lead presentations and influence their outcomes.
• Influence the creative process across various teams, including integrated campaigns and social.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in copywriting, preferably in advertising or a related industry.
• A portfolio of strategically sound, award-worthy creative work from concept to execution.
• Strong understanding of the conceptual and executional phases of the creative process.
• Experience presenting to and interacting with clients.
• Ability to collaborate with other internal departments.
