As a Copy Director at Ogilvy, you will play a pivotal role in the Employee Experience (EX) practice, collaborating with a diverse team of creative professionals to craft compelling B2B communications. This position requires a blend of writing expertise and leadership, where you will guide and mentor other writers while ensuring the delivery of high-quality content that aligns with client expectations. Your work will focus on the business technology sector, emphasizing the importance of strategic thinking and relationship-building with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of writers, ensuring high-quality B2B communications.
  • Research and develop deep subject matter expertise for assigned accounts.
  • Write and review copy across various formats and media, ensuring it is on-brand and on-message.
  • Collaborate with strategists to align copy with client preferences and industry standards.
  • Present work to clients, demonstrating subject matter expertise and passion for the project.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through positive interactions and excellent work.
  • Partner with project managers to track project schedules and milestones.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a B2B writer or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience as a team lead with accountability for content review.
  • 2+ years of experience writing for tech-centric clients.
  • 2+ years of experience writing sales enablement content such as presentations and solution briefs.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of writing samples.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with field marketing or sales planning for go-to-market content.
  • Familiarity with various B2B communication channels.
