About the position

The Associate Creative Director, Copy at gotham is responsible for leading creative projects for a global beauty brand. This role requires a witty and innovative writer who can transform complex briefs into compelling concepts and headlines. The position involves collaboration with Art Directors, managing projects from concept to execution, and presenting ideas to both internal teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in copywriting and a strong portfolio showcasing successful brand campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Work with Art Director partners to create big idea concepts and multiple proof of concept executions.
• Carry all projects from initial creative concept through execution and release.
• Present ideas, layouts, scripts, and storyboards to Creative Director and Account team.
• Present approved work directly to clients.
• Develop creative for print, digital, social, mobile, and TV.
• Stay informed about social trends, talent, and competitors.

Requirements

• A copywriting portfolio showcasing examples of brand concepts and campaigns, including executions of concepts worked on.
• 10+ years of copywriting expertise and relevant ad agency experience, preferably with well-known consumer-facing brands.
• Experience developing digital and social conceptual ideas.
• Natural storyteller with excellent presentation skills.
• Strong, clear perspective with impactful communication style, both written and verbal.
