About the position

As an Associate Creative Director - Copywriter at Archer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the creative direction for one of the agency's primary accounts in the personal care retail category. This role is designed for an experienced copywriter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to tackle the unique challenges of brand building. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their objectives and develop innovative strategies that bring their visions to life. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire creative process, from concept development to final execution, ensuring that our work consistently exceeds expectations. You will oversee a variety of projects, including video campaigns, point-of-sale materials, email marketing, social media content, websites, and apps. In this position, you will demonstrate big idea leadership, showcasing both strategic and conceptual thinking. You will consistently produce high-quality work and present it to internal stakeholders and clients, effectively selling your ideas. Collaboration is key, as you will work within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating efforts to deliver impactful communications and campaigns. Staying current on creative, industry, category, and media trends will be essential to your success, as will your ability to prioritize requests and meet deadlines. You will work closely with the group creative director to evaluate, revise, and optimize the work, ensuring that it aligns with best practices across all channels.

Responsibilities

  • Show big idea leadership—both strategic and conceptual thinking
  • Consistently demonstrate high levels of craft in your work
  • Present to all levels of internal stakeholders and client contacts, and sell great work independently
  • Proactively collaborate and coordinate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Concept, craft and deliver consistently impactful communications and campaigns
  • Be responsive and able to prioritize requests and due dates
  • Understand and execute using best practices for all channels
  • Stay current on creative, industry, category and media trends
  • Work closely with the group creative director to evaluate, revise and optimize the work

Requirements

  • 5+ years of agency or marketing experience
  • A great portfolio that includes a variety of media, including video work, print, collateral, outdoor, websites, and social/digital channels
  • Strong understanding of developing channel-specific creative to cut through the clutter while keeping overall brand goals in mind
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively by following a creative brief
  • Experience presenting work to a team of colleagues and clients
  • Passion for collaborating with a partner or ideating in group settings
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful advertising campaigns across various media channels
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
  • Exceptional conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
