About the position

The Associate Creative Director will lead the digital creative team for a grocery retail brand, focusing on conceptualization, design, and execution of creative projects. This role requires strategic thought leadership and the ability to create a connected consumer experience across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creative direction, marketing strategy, and design, particularly in email campaigns and retail brands.

Responsibilities

  • Guide all digital design projects and ensure the overall quality of work produced by the creative team.
  • Execute and deliver creative work based on outlined priorities to meet objectives.
  • Oversee the production of client needs and collaborate with Executive Creative Directors regularly.
  • Work on high-profile client projects, managing daily deliverables and special projects.
  • Translate business objectives into clear creative strategies and communicate the creative vision to clients and the internal team.
  • Create compelling presentations that effectively tell a story and lead client discovery sessions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of designers, copywriters, and front-end developers, fostering a motivating atmosphere.
  • Review work and provide actionable feedback to the creative team in a timely manner.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and take ownership of creative development initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration and inclusion to create a positive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, internal partners, and senior leadership to meet business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate trends and creative techniques to keep the brand vision active.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years of art/creative director experience at an agency.
  • Proven experience as an Associate Creative Director or in a similar creative leadership role.
  • Strong current portfolio of imaginative and compelling digital work, especially in email campaigns and omni-channel marketing.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard creative applications: Figma, XD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office applications.
  • Deep understanding of UI/UX design and marketing operations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and composure under stress.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with keen problem-solving skills.
  • Responsive leadership style with conflict resolution skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus.
