About the position

The Associate Creative Director (ACD), Motion Design at Apple is responsible for crafting innovative motion design solutions for Apple's diverse range of products and services. This role involves providing creative guidance, fostering cross-functional communication, and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional work that aligns with Apple's marketing objectives. The ACD will lead projects from ideation to final production, ensuring that the motion identity for Apple services is both compelling and effective.

Responsibilities

• Direct innovative and inspiring campaigns that meet the requirements outlined in the brief.
• Drive collaboration cross-functionally, building relationships and credibility within the creative community and senior leadership.
• Conduct regular reviews of creative work with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with other projects within Apple's Design community.
• Plan and direct projects from initial ideation through final delivery of production.
• Act as an ambassador for Motion Design within Marcom across various lines of business within Apple.
• Lead a dedicated team of freelance motion creatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in motion design with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Experience guiding and motivating teams of motion designers, developing projects from conception to handoff.
• In-depth knowledge of all steps required in the creative process, including staffing projects and providing creative direction.
• Strong design skills with high attention to detail and the ability to guide and evaluate work to achieve creative excellence.
• Demonstrates ability to learn and adapt quickly and is skilled in creative problem solving in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating creative input from multiple functional groups.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with production tools such as Maya, Houdini, and Nuke.
• Experience working in After Effects and Cinema 4D (or equivalent 3D software).
• Dynamic communication style, capable of real-time creative problem solving.
