About the position

The Associate Creative Director - Photo, Video at Kohler is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of premium photography and video content for all Kohler Co brands. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in photography, video production, and team management, who can oversee projects from concept to execution while fostering innovation and creativity within the team. The ACD will manage a team of 5-9 direct reports and collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that all creative outputs align with brand strategy and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and delivery of premium photography and video content for Kohler Co brands.
• Direct all stages of photo and video production, contributing hands-on content creation.
• Manage a team of 5-9 direct reports, including Photographers, Editors, and Art Directors.
• Ensure production work is delivered on strategy and on brand.
• Deliver original ideas that are clear, concise, and convincing.
• Proactively foster new and innovative ideas within the team.
• Partner with Producers to manage resources and prioritize tasks in a high-volume content creation environment.
• Maintain relationships with business partners and present ideas clearly.
• Manage outside vendors, agencies, freelancers, and contract workforce as needed.
• Provide input for creative group and brand strategy, overseeing project budgets.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in an advertising agency or in-house studio.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Portfolio demonstrating photography abilities.
• Extensive production experience across various mediums.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor team members.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas effectively.
• Solution-oriented and nimble problem solver.
• Passionate about design, luxury, and aesthetics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with video production is a bonus.
• OMNI-Channel experience including TV, Print, Digital, Content/Video, Literature, Retail Packaging, and Graphics.
